Babies Take Over Los Angeles
Langdon + his girlfriend Madison had a mad dash weekend in sunny Los Angeles last weekend!!!
ALL CHEEKS. Langdon + Maddie have super opposite schedules which always made things interesting. Langdon is a morning baby while Maddie is a little night owl. So in the morning Langdon + I would play + count the minutes when she would awaken!
Abbott Kinney is off the beach path + is full of eateries + cool independent boutiques. Los Angeles loves to eat out!!! We stopped by an organic restaurant + juice bar (so L.A.). The babies were tres over the moon! Here they are perusing the menus + discussing what they are going to order. “I’m going to have the blackened wild salmon sandwich, what’ll you have, Maddie?” Langdon asks.
A perfect photo…but then turn the camera around + you get a SUPER CRANKY LANGDON!!!! Lately Langdon HATES riding in the car with the fire of a thousand suns. Plus, he was overtired + detests the feel of sand on his pillowy fat baby hands. Maddie is like, “Hahaha! I’m an angel!”.
The next day we headed to the downtown garment district. Tiffany scored a ton of super cute fabric for Madison. Langdon enjoyed rolling around on the ultra soft minky fabric. If you don’t know what minky fabric is, when you have a baby you’ll get to know it reeeeeal well.
After lunch in Little Tokyo, we stopped by the mall on our way home. Because we couldn’t get enough retail therapy. Obviously. Palm tree in the middle of the food court!!!! “Yeeeeeeee!!!!” squealed Maddie! These babies have it good!
For their last night, we had to stuff our faces with In-n-Out. It’s an American Southwest must! And you have to wear the hat!!! Animal Style burger + fries! If you don’t know what that is, it’s on their “secret not-so-secret menu”. Animal style burgers are cooked in a thin layer of mustard, and in addition to the lettuce and tomato it also includes pickles, grilled onions, and extra special sauce. Animal Style fries come with two slices of melted cheese, spread, and grilled onions on top. Tiffany was in heaven.
Maybe it’s because Langdon was already asleep at that point.
It was a super quick trip + we accomplished a lot!!! The babies were really good about it + truly enjoyed each other’s company! I thought Langdon would get super rough boy style with dainty Madison but he was surprisingly gentle + sweet with her. We miss them so but will see them soon in Vancouver next month!!!! Thanks for visiting us, ladies – an unforgettable time!!! XOXO
