Baby in Ontario Part 2

Part deux of the Canadian East Coast saga! Keep reading as our hero Langdon Fayle fancies himself a big city man in a very mini Canuck manner!
This post shall be somewhat brief my friends. Langdon + I have been sick for the past couple of days which has made it the loooooongest weeeeek in quite some time. Plus, I gave him some homeopathic cold medicine that I think should only be used for daytime cuz it took a helluva time getting the devilish little bean to fall asleep. Whatta week.
Two weeks ago we were in Toronto! How time flies! The hotel we were staying at for the wedding was smack dab in downtown, with us on the 18th floor! Dad + Langdon gazing at the city skyline from our very high nest.
The day of the wedding a group of us took a walk from the hotel to St. Lawrence Market
There are two parts to St. Lawrence Market. One is like a farmer’s market full of fresh produce. While this entrance of the market leads to…..
Culinary madness!!!!!! St. Lawrence Market is basically like Vancouver’s Granville Island – but on copious amounts of ‘roids.
This place is shoulder to shoulder full of hungry people! I think I may have body checked a few. Unfortunately we didn’t get to wander around much due to the fact that there were too many of us + we kept losing each other + due to the fact that the ladies realized we needed to head back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding!
After lots of prep + wrangling of our large group – we had arrived!!! The wedding took place in the home of a dear friend of the bride + groom’s at “The Beaches”. The Beaches is east of downtown Toronto + is filled with cute coffee shops + boutiques. Another neighborhood I wish I had the time to wander! The house was built in the 1910s, was situated right on the beach, it’s infinity pool was the icing on the cake!!!
Glamorous!!! Be still my beating heart! After appetizers + cocktails the wedding was underway! It was a chilly, breezy beach day. Langdon was all bundled up in blankets listening intently to the heartfelt ceremony.
Mazel Tov to the bride + groom!!!!!!!!!!! While they were taking pictures on the shore a bright, shiny rainbow shot down onto the sand! A most auspicious sign!!!!!!
Photo courtesy of my kick ass niece Ambur! Oh haaaaay!!!! Langdon unsuccessfully tried to nap upstairs, but he was having none of it. He wanted to party. Here he is whooping it up with his big cousin Ambur! This trip is the first time they were able to meet!
He was in luuuuuuurve with his beautiful, amazing cousin!!! He could not stop gazing at her beauty!
Jeff is apparently dancing the Mashed Potato for Langdon’s amusement, but Langdon was much more interested in Ambur. So sweet. We miss her so.
The next night Langdon met his Grandpa Brian + Grandma Cheryl!
They showered him with gifts + after opening them (thank you thank you!) Grandma Cheryl promptly put him in the gift bag much to his glee!
Grandma Cheryl was aces playing with Langdon! We were all so pooped from the wedding, so hallelujah for Grandma Cheryl!!! They were dancing, jumping + playing with this amazing, twisty toy that kept Langdon’s attention for quite sometime! I’m on a mission to order one online after this post!
Well y’all – Langdon turned 6 MONTHS OLD during the trip!!! HALF A YEAR OLD!!!
SOB!!!!!! Sometimes I get all weepy + blubber, “Don’t grow up!!! Please stop growing!!!”. It’s true what they say! IT ALL HAPPENS SO FAST!!!!!! MY BAYBAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!! Okay I’ll stop now before it gets truly embarrassing for all of us.
Well, Toronto was a right jolly trip!!!! Exhausting + at times nerve wracking, but it was great to finally visit the city + see lots of family that we’ve missed for too long! Alas, my only regret is not getting a picture of Langdon with the bride + groom! Sad face. Whelp, they just have to come make a visit to us folks on the West Coast!!! Anyhoo, thanks for coming along + if you have any Toronto recommendations for our next visit, please share!!!!
