One Month

One month you ask?! Yes, yes! It’s true!!!
Is this turning into a baby blog??? Well, maybe! It’s consuming every cell + atom of my life (if life consisted of cells + atoms – well, it sort of does) so I guess it sort of is becoming a baby blog! Male readers do not desert me!!! I’ll keep it somewhat entertaining I swear!
How did this happen already??? Boy, moms weren’t kidding when they said they grow up so fast. Langdon is one month old today. Old man. One day I was high on hormones + staring at him, I started to cry. “I can’t believe you’re going away to college…I’m going to meet your first girlfriend…” I weepily blubbered. Jeff was like, “Woman! Get a grip!!!”. Just kidding he didn’t really say those exact words, but something more Canadian to that effect.
Langdon was very, very lucky to have his Grandma Rocky + Auntie Ashley in town from Los Angeles to save him from his crazy mom + dad in the first week of his life. And my mom was with me for an entire month helping while I was pregnant – she is a saint.
I was so sad when they left – why does Langdon look like a plastic toy doll in this picture?!
Baby’s first outing – McFrugal’s Warehouse Outlet. How very apropos for our child’s first outing!
Jeff was embarrassed but I was like, “This is real life! This be us!!!”. Having a baby + good grammar are not things that go together. Here’s Auntie Ashley + Langdon. Jeff said, “Don’t pose in front of the maxi pads!!!”. Whatever, Jeff.
First visit with Auntie Deb + his cousins!!! The boys are going to teach Langdon to motorcross, dirt bike, skateboard…I can’t wait! Sweet photo, no?!
BEAUTY SHOT!!! THOSE LIPS!!!! CLARA BOW!!! I CAN’T STAND IT!!!!
Sadness. Jeff has left for location to work on Hell on Wheels in Alberta for the summer. I AM ALL ALOOOONE. Well, for a month + a half until my mom comes back to relieve me. Thank god I have Deb, some friends + I’ve lined up a lot of mommy + baby classes this month. Here’s a selfie Jeff took when he reached Alberta.
One word – amazing. That’s my husband, y’all. Do you like that getup? I sure do!
Langdon’s first bath – I got in the tub + Jeff safely handed him to me. This boy loves his bath time!!! Like amniotic fluid!!! Yipeee!!! Warm!
Without Jeff around we are now doing baths in the sink. Oh so coy!!! Oh la la!!!!
Babies with hoodies up = irresistible!!!!
Okay gotta go! Baby fussing!!! Ta taaaa!!! Wish me luck on my own with a newborn! Yargh!!!
so sweet
Thanks – I want to come to Texas!!!
oh how beautiful, sweet and innocent! Love it! XOXO – Bacon
Thank you so much!!! It’s true – babies are pure innocence!
He is beautiful! You guys did good! Something you may want to try..starting with one month, take a photo using something like a laundry basket or tote, with him In it. Then take it in the same thing each month. Its great to see how much he’s growing and changing..from being all tiny and swaddled up at one month, to sitting up, to crawling out, to standing. Using the same thing each month gives such a good perspective of how much he grows and changes. Enjoy your time with him alone..and on bad days remember, this too shall pass!
Thanks!!! That is what his buddy the monkey is for! I’m using the same blanket as a backdrop + the same monkey to show how much bigger he’ll get! I can’t believe how big he’s gotten in one month!!! And he’s already so heavy! So far, so good on our own – we are bonding BIG TIME!!! Thanks Tina!!!! Hello to Arizona + your mom + dad!!!!
Wow, Shelli – Congrats! Langdon is one gorgeous little mans. I can see that the Fayle genes are very strong too. I know that he is so brand new but I can see Jeffrey in him. We are so happy for you guys. Lots of love to you sister! xoxo the Hoilies!
The Fayle genes run strong within this child. I am dreaming of palm trees, taco trucks + good ol’ American sarcasm!!! Can’t WAIT to come to see you guys!!!! XOXOXOXOXO
Wow, a month goes by so fast! I was at ReStore this past weekend and considered calling you to see if I could stop by, but seeing as you haven’t contacted me in awhile, I wasn’t sure if you were ready to receive visitors yet!
