Lately

This may be the last post I put up for a while! The clock is a’ ticking!!!
Today is March 24th – which is when the baby was slated to be “due”! I’m officially 40 weeks pregnant! Well y’all, this baby is still hanging out inside my belly feeling totally irie. I imagine it swinging in a hammock throwing me a shaka Obama style.
I really believe the baby is waiting for Jeff to be done with his job on The Flash + then it will be ready to pop out! Here’s another picture of Jeff + Grant Gustin (Flash) enjoying time on set. If you missed my blog post about Jeff on the set of The Flash click here. Jeff looks like a grizzled miner during the gold rush. “I know yer hidin’ that gold somewheres, sonny!!! Fess up!!!” he’s saying to Grant.
Photo courtesy of Patrick Ramsay! Thank you for the great shot!
More importantly, my mom has flown into town from Los Angeles!!!
Huzzah!!! It’s been ENORMOUSLY helpful having her around! She’s been cooking, helping me clean around the house, prepare the house for baby! My belly is so scale tippingly HUGE so it’s been nice to have her do the things that are starting to become impossible! Mira!
That picture even shocks me when I look at it. That is one serious belly…
Jeff was at home grilling a welcome dinner.
Surf n’ turf! Nice one, Jeff – more shaka to da max!!! Is my mom unnervingly photogenic or what?! Dad + Ashley don’t get your hopes up. When you get here the baby will be tapping out all our energy, so you might just get a welcome dinner of pizza. Sorry!!!
Mom + I have been running (waddling) around town doing last minute errands. Like cuddling up next to Canadian themed fleece at the fabric store. Although…the past couple days my mom has quarantined me to the house so that the baby waits for Jeff to be done with work. I am under house arrest.
Look at the baby’s laundry hamper that my mom made!!! Inspired by Martha Stewart, of course. Laundry hampers are fugly + take up too much precious floor space. We used a sturdy, strong 12″ wooden embroidery hoop from Michael’s. Mom sewed up a rectangle about the size of a king size pillow case, double stitching it for durability + used the same fabric to create a loop to hang it with. No drawstring. Easy peasy! I love it!
We’ve still been receiving gifts in the mail from loved ones in Los Angeles to which I’m so grateful + feel so much fuzzy warmth!!! Thanks everyone! I love + miss you so much!!!
Last week at 39 weeks. OMG THAT BELLY!!! I’ve been taking belly pictures in a black top + leggings because it shows off the belly the best. It makes me look like I’m wearing a unitard. As if I’m wanting to go off + do some experimental modern dance choreography. Not to mention it really accentuates how flat my Asian butt has really gotten during the pregnancy.
Last but not least, Megumi has been making a friend in the neighborhood. She’s #1 in this household – Jeff + I smother her with so much love + attention. So I’m glad that she’s making some buddies, because when this baby arrives her whole world will be turned upside down. Well, I won’t let it happen!!!
Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes, love + support!!! The baby will be here any day now!!! Will keep you updated! Wish us luck!!!! XOXOXOXO
Wow you are SUPER pregnant and ready to pop! How exciting!!! Best of luck for the upcoming ‘adventure’ – can’t wait to get an update on the Other Side. Do you know what you’re having (other than a baby, that is!)? Yay for your mum being there too 🙂
SUPER preggo!!! We are having a surprise!!! Thank so much – good luck with your belly as well!!! It’s gonna get CRAYZAAAAY!!!!! Best wishes!!!!
oh my goodness, that picture of you at the airport is too funny! I think the horizontal polkadot band is adding extra emphasis right at the widest part, too! It is astonishing what our bodies do to grow those babies. Best of luck! I say, the baby needs to wait to be born until Thursday, best birthday present ever!
It’s pretty insane!!! I think my belly is stretched to maximum capacity!!! Yes, baby needs to wait a couple more days! XOXOXO
Good luck, little momma! I’ll be thinking of you from my perch in central PA! XO

OMG I’M SO GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!! I’ve been checking on your blog, looking for an email address + a way to contact you! I’ve been thinking about you + so worried about all the unrest going on in Venezuela. When there were a lack of posts on your blog, so I was freaked out! So happy to hear from you again!
Thank you, that means so much! My laptop died and then we didn’t have Internet. Venezuela is a terrifyingly, sad, long tale. We’re in the process of moving back to Montreal. I’m waiting in Curacao until my hubby can join me next week. I think we can chalk this experience up to, you never know! I’d love to reconnect with you. I obviously have lots to catch up on with your blog. 🙂 So, did you have a girl or a boy?
Wow!!! I’m glad you guys are safe! We are having a (very late) surprise!!! Yes, keep in touch! Good luck with the move!!!
