Pregnancy – Times I’ve Cried

Hormones are preying on your emotions during pregnancy. I’ve chosen a couple of choice bizarre moments to shed a tear.
Wasn’t feeling so well one day so I watched Sister Act. Why? Maybe I was feeling nostalgic for early 90’s Whoopi Goldberg? Random, I know.
Oh the nuns! The nuns care so much for Whoopi!!! Tear!
The Katy Perry “Part of Me” documentary.
Oh the fans! The fans love her so much + her songs give them confidence to believe in themselves! Tear!
This one was by far the weirdest. One day I was looking online at the Scarlett Johansson falling meme + I started laughing so hard!
I was laughing so hard, then all of a sudden I started crying! Like sad crying. Not to be mistaken with laughing-so-hard-tears-come-out-crying! SO WEIRD!!!!
Click on this link. That’s what started the madness. Here’s a Canadian curling one fer ya.
But have I cried watching beautiful birth story videos at my prenatal classes?
NOPE. What were my tear ducts doing? Nothing.
But seriously folks, the time I’ve TRULY cried is when I think about my family in Los Angeles. Here we all are 2 years ago at Christmas in California.
It makes me really sad that they aren’t around to see my belly grow + move. Especially for my first baby. Plus, I miss them so much! Damn you, immigration!!!! A curse on you for trapping me in Canada!!!
I keep forgetting to think of this picture when I’m sad. It’s a well documented cure.
Emotions really are a roller coaster during pregnancy! It’s haphazard, unpredictable + will spring on you at any given moment like a jungle panther waiting within the trees to mangle + then gnaw on your fragile mental state. I won’t even touch on the subject of crazy rage moments I’ve had!!! That’s another post in itself!
Jungle panthers make me lol, apparently. Just the way you worded that made me laugh…I really enjoy your style!
But seriously, this pregnancy thing sounds like a lot of work! Take care of yourself! 🙂
THANKS!!!! That means a lot coming from someone who is such a literary pro!!! 🙂 P.S. I concur. Jungle panthers are always good for a lol!
Jungle Book was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre (the old one in Revelstoke!) and I have a GIANT plush Bagheera that’s bigger than my cat. I have a soft spot for panthers. I know real ones are vicious, but plush Disney ones are not. 🙂
Awwww!!!! Truly, Disney panthers are harmless!

Thanks, Dad!!!! I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!! I can’t wait for you all to be here!!! Tear!
I have the same problem. Randomly weird things = tears… Sad or emotional type things (videos on YouTube, whatever) = dry as the Sahara.
It’s very strangely selective, isn’t it??? Thanks for stopping by!!!!
Aw Shelli, pregnancy and emotions are brutal! Not to worry though. When peanut has arrived all will be great, not to mention it will also mean your family will be here, Yahoo (I love that xmas photo). In the mean time, I look forward to going to 2nd hand shops with you and stuffing our faces with french pastries! love Deb xo
Yahoooo!!! I can’t wait for them all to be here! Thanks for the kind words, Deb! And yes, thrifting + french pastries are on my top 5 list of favorite things! Can’t wait! XOXOXO
Oh girl! I cried watching old episodes of Little House. I told my mom. She said that’s not from me being pregnant because she cries watching Little House. Then Nathan cried while watching with me. haha!
Haha! Little House will guarantee bring on the waterworks!
