We’re In!!!

Saints be praised!!! Jeff + I are officially moved into our new house!!!
I’ve been neglecting my posts lately because: a) my head hasn’t been on straight lately + b) my head hasn’t been on straight lately. I am bushed, people. Tuckered out. Dog tired. Threadbare. Beat to hell.
Packing, packing, packing, packing. I was so sick of it!!! A little diva princess was making sure that I knew that she was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with all the hoopla + boxes everywhere, which were ruining her nap times!
Look at her, she’s utterly disgusted!!!
I call that her bitch face.
Last Sunday we had the most A-list, prime grade, top-of-the-pops moving team that came to our aid!!!! We were eight people strong!!! My mom is reading this right now + probably screaming, “SHELLI + JEFF YOU ARE SO BLESSSSSSSED!!!!!!”. We are. We are the two luckiest people in British Columbia!
Take notes, if you are moving + have friends in the film industry, ask them to help. People in the film industry know how to hustle!!! They know how to get things done, get it done fast + get it done right!!! They’re organized, methodical + no nonsense!!!
Cousin Neil is extremely detail oriented + packed all of our many fragile pictures with lots of care!!!
Jeff’s brother Tom is super hardcore + has a super brain that is amazing at playing tetris in our rented Uhaul. I’m the worst at spatial planning. My nephew Matt was there all day helping out + was a tireless hard worker!!!
After packing up the old house + the Uhaul, we started moving into the new house after a pizza break.
Lifting the larger items into the second story. Jeff + I could have never done all of this by ourselves!!!
The entire move took about 5 hours! We were all so exhausted in the end! After everyone had left + things settled down, I let Megumi out of her carrier to wander around her new home. I have NEVER seen her adjust so quickly + happily to a new environment in her whole kitty life!!!!!
Such a good sign!!! She LURVES her new house SO MUCH!!!!! Rolling around, skipping, jumping, happy mews!!!
Jeff + I love our new home too! There’s still boxes everywhere + it’s going to take awhile to get everything in the right place. But I want to profusely thank our moving team for all their positive energy + awesome muscle!!!! We love you guys!!!!
It really is a gorgeous place. Remarkably private as it is set in amongst a lot of greenery and, about the only views of the other houses are over the rooftops or through the bushes.
Congratulations.
Brian
Thank you Brian! It is a perfect little pocket that we’ve found in Vancouver! I’m glad that you were able to see it during your visit!
