Pack It Up

Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin…

We are in the midst of a burning circle of hellfire otherwise known as moving.  Yep, moving time once again for Jeff + Shelli.  Oh how absolutely sick I am to my stomach (literally) about moving!  I’ve been moving around for years now + I’m ready to settle in one place!

Hell on Wheels has finished shooting season 3 here in Alberta + now it’s time to move back to Vancouver for Jeff’s next job!  We’re really, really lucky that Jeff is able to find work between the two provinces, but Dear Canada, I wish your film industry wasn’t so spread thin with work!  Well, the United States has become more + more like that as well.  Maybe I should say, Dear Producers, stop trying to be so cheap by trying to get so many tax breaks + thus spreading the work EVERYWHERE so thin!  It’s not saving ANYONE money in the long run!  That’s right!  I said it!

Please watch Hell on Wheels because if the ratings are good, that means I get to come back to Alberta next summer for season 4!!!!  Huzzah!!!  Here is a cute picture of Jeff + Common on the last day of shooting.  Common is pretty much one of the nicest people to ever walk on this planet + he is cool with me putting this picture up on the blog!

Anyway I’ve got to keep packing because we’ve got to get out of our rental tomorrow!  Megu is so used to all the constant chaos, poor thing!

Blue Rubbermaid bins encompass my entire life.

We drove a load of stuff in both of our cars to our shipping container an hour + 1/2 drive away in Exshaw, so that we wouldn’t be overloaded with stuff tomorrow.  We’ll stay in Canmore for a couple days to organize, pack the cars to maximum efficiency + THEN head west!

It was cold + raining when we got to Exshaw – luckily this awesome jacket was there to keep me dry + warm!

Such a good look.  If you marry a hoarder + a Canadian hoarder, get ready to be folding a giant size tarp (20 x 20 feet – that’s a big mofo) over + over + over + over again because you need it to cover your precious hoard from the elements when you’re transporting it over + over + over again because you’re a couple of gypsies + don’t understand the concept of living a normal existence.  This will be your lot in life.

Like sisyphus, but hoarding style.  Like groundhog day, but hoarding style.

I know I voluntarily signed up for all of this….THAT’S the insane part!  But Jeff + I are a team, we are best friends + buddies + we love each other so much that we make it happen.  Wish us luck!  The clock is a tickin’!!!!
