2013, Right On!!!!!

Happy New Year, y’all!!!!  Here’s a brief recap of 2012 + an amazing start to 2013 with a traditional Japanese meal!!!

This morning I made Ozoni soup for the first time with the fresh mochi I bought at the Nikkei Place Mochitsuki Day!  I would have loved to have learned to make it with my mom but unfortunately my family is in Los Angeles + Jeff + I are in Vancouver.  Sniff, sniff.  New Year Ozoni

It was pretty yummy for the first try!  It will be my new tradition from this year forward!  I shall strive to perfect it as each year rolls by!New Year Ozoni

Your first OZONI looked very pretty and I am sure tasted so yammy. Your Ozoni reminded me of the Kishidas. We had one which was the Nishinos way.
I am so proud of you to carry on the Japanese traditions on New Year’s Day.
I wish you the very happy, heathy, good work and all that God gives you and Jeff.
