Moab – Part 5

After work on Saturday, we were overheated + feeling tired, but we soldiered on!!!!  For it was our wonderful costume production assistant’s birthday + she wanted to go to the Moab Rodeo more than anything!

Wish granted!  Moab Rodeo we went!!!!!  Tally ho!!!  The department even printed special T-shirts for the occasion + everyone was given one!  We didn’t reach the rodeo till 9:30pm.  There was only a half hour left of the rodeo, but we were not to be dissuaded!!!!  MAKE WAY!!!  LET US IN!!!  We were a group of gals were hellbent on rodeo-eo-eo-ing.

The bulls were a-buckin’.

My favorite was the dude with the sweet white kicks on.  Heck yes.  Oh, + note the two cowboys next to him BOTH wearing pink button fronts!  I salute you!  It takes a real man to wear pink!  Hot!!!

When the rodeo clowns came out, the crowd was FREAKING out.  Like it was the Beatles.  Makes sense when your rodeo clown has got some serious guns + is wearing a Hooters girl costume!

Y’all, look close – there’s a clown inside the barrel that the bull is aiming for!  Cuidado, homie!!

When the rodeo was over, we took pictures with the rodeo clowns.  Or the Super Foxy Rodeo Clowns (SFRC) as we liked to call them.  Birthday girl Chrissie is in the middle.  Can you see our extra special rodeo T-shirts?  Aren’t we cute?!  We were like a gang!  Like the Pink Ladies!

There were some souvenirs for sale, Sarah donned a camouflage baseball hat + looked like a full on BAD ASS trucker.  Don’t wanna mess with that, y’all!  Check out the lady in the back baring her midriff!  You go, Moab!!!

Sarah + I were starved!  What did they have outside at the rodeo???  A CHUCKWAGON!!!!  Serving FRITO PIES!!!!  Whuuu????!!!  You have not graced your life with a Frito Pie????  Shame!  It’s chili with melted cheese, fritos, + diced red onions on top.  HEAVEN FOR YOUR TASTEBUDS!!!!

Yeah, an evening of heavenly delights, in our honest opinion.

We ended the evening with a stop at the local watering hole, Woody’s Tavern.  Let’s just say we stayed at Woody’s a lot longer than we all had anticipated.  Your imaginations can manage the rest…..stay tuned.  You want more Moab, you say???  Well, more Moab you’re gonna get!!!!  Keep on reading!!!!

      • Yah, we’re taking a bunch of our youth group and going on the 13th. We don’t go every year, because it doesn’t change much from year to year, but taking our a gang of our kids is a special occasion. 🙂 And it means I get fresh-squeezed lemonade, which is always a win!
