Rip Van Winkle Better Keep Sleeping
Rip Van Winkle is the story of a man that slept through the American Revolutionary War. When he awoke, he was old + gray, his wife + friends had passed away + he had been asleep during the entire war.
I did not sleep during a war. I slept after it was over. Moving while working felt like a war in my brain + on my body. On Friday night I slept for 12 hours + later the next day I took a 3 hour nap!!! Rip Van Winkle, y’all!!!!!! For real. And I’m sure you’re all tired of hearing how tired I am!!! It’s a bore!!! I know! I’m boring myself right now!!!!
I’ve read many articles about replenishing your sleep bank. The idea is that the average human needs around 7-9 hours of sleep. Say you only get 5 hours of sleep one night. You need to make up that 2-3 hours of sleep that you were deprived of. If you keep accumulating sleep debt every night – you’re creating a massive amount of sleep deprivation that needs to be taken care of!!! It’s serious! You want to know why?! I’m cranky, short-tempered + ultra sensitive, that’s why!!!! I’m so over it!!!!!!!!!! This is how I feel:
